Return,Refund and Replacement policy
Effective Date: July 29, 2026
This Return, Refund & Replacement Policy applies to purchases made from Kott Ventures Private Limited through its website and brands, including Routes to Roots.
1. Eligibility
As we deal in packaged food products, returns are accepted only if:
* You receive a damaged, defective, expired or tampered product.
* You receive an incorrect item or incorrect quantity.
* The product delivered is substantially different from what was ordered.
2. Reporting an Issue
Please report any issue as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, by emailing mail@routestoroots.in with:
*Order Number
* Description of the issue
Clear photographs of the product, packaging and shipping label
Requests received after 48 hours may still be considered where required under applicable law or where the defect could not reasonably have been discovered earlier.
3. Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and food safety reasons, we do not accept returns of:
* Opened or partially consumed food products.
* Products damaged due to improper storage or misuse after delivery.
* Products returned without prior approval.
* Products with no manufacturing defect or delivery error.
4. Verification & Resolution
All requests are subject to verification. Upon approval, we may offer:
* A replacement product
* A refund
* The missing item or quantity, or
* Another appropriate resolution.
Replacement is subject to stock availability.
5. Refunds
Approved refunds for prepaid orders will be credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. COD refunds will be processed via bank transfer or another mutually agreed method. Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
6. Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch. Once dispatched, cancellation may not be possible. Eligible prepaid cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method.
7. Return Shipping
Where the return is due to our error (wrong, damaged, defective or expired product), we will arrange the return or bear the applicable return shipping cost.
8. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable laws of India.
9. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Ernakulam, Kerala, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
